Dear Ian,

My heartfelt thanks to you for creating a wonderful home for us at Tanners Farm House.

As I look back I realise what a blessing it was that the original builder went bust. And that you were willing to go out of your way to pick up the pieces, do the long journey from your usual hunting ground, and provide a team of people who made a reality of my vision, and more.

Without exception the people in your team were great craftsmen, diligent, hard-working and took pride in their work. Amidst that group, three people really stand out; little Ian, big John and little John. Every time I look at features in the house I remember them, and the way they never let good enough be good enough.

You personally have really made the difference though Ian. You push everyone around you for a great result. I have really appreciated it, and your endless support at what has been a difficult time, both personally, and with a bit of a COVID lockdown thrown into the mix just to spice up the job a bit more. Sofas through windows, juggling social distancing, remembering door stops, finding beautiful oak for the floors, missing appointments to stay and help me.... I could go on.

It cost a lot – but it’s worth every penny. It oozes quality, and already feels like home.
