Testimonial

It was a once in a lifetime experience for us to do a complete renovation on an old house to turn it, we hoped, into a family home.
After hearing so many stories about nightmare builders we were apprehensive about embarking on this big project which involved over 10 months of work on a big extension, new roof, complete refit of existing parts and complete landscaping.
We selected Pearson because right from the start they showed a keen interest in the detail of what was being proposed, and were not afraid to ask probing questions about our plans in order to ensure that what we had planned was right from a building regs perspective. We preferred this attitude to builders that seemed to just nod their heads to everything we said. This attention to detail has continued throughout.
The whole project has run extremely well, with the level of service and workmanship being outstanding on all levels.
When issues have arisen (which are inevitable on such a large project) Ian and his team have always been able to come up with solutions and have gone the extra mile to make things work. The team on site have always been really nice to deal with and very polite, even the neighbours have commented on how hard they work and how neat the site is. These guys turn up early in the morning and work really hard all day, no knocking off early.
Our sometimes maddening questions have been dealt with promptly and well. Pearson have delivered a fantastic family home to us on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to recommend them. We have been spoilt now that we have seen what good builders can do. The building control inspector from South Bucks Council commented that the level of workmanship was exemplary, and that is rare these days.

Kind words from our client

My husband and I and our four boys (then 8, 6, 5, and 2 years old) moved into Three Chimneys in January 2007. We knew that we would want to undertake some work on the house and 2 years later, with the help of an architect we had decided what shape it should take. We wanted to change the layout of the house so that each of our sons could have their own bedroom, to create some better guest accommodation and to build a garage to house the mountains of bikes and clutter that we had accumulated. In the end, we also decided we wanted to rewire, replumb and redecorate the whole house as well!

We went out to tender to a number of building firms and quickly whittled it down to two from whom we took references and made site visits. We were immediately impressed by what we saw from Pearson Building and were happy to appoint them for the work.

From day one and throughout the project Pearsons were incredibly professional, hard working, diligent and passionate about achieving excellence in every aspect of the work. It’s hard to say which would have been the greater burden: trying to accommodate four very lively and inquisitive boys or dealing with the fact that our brief changed daily, but the whole team kept their good humour and patience throughout.

This is the fifth major building project that I have managed, and it was easily the best experience I have had. I am happy for people to call me or visit our house if you would like any further information.
